Dr. Annette Jones
A 2001 graduate of Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Annette Jones has been an associate veterinarian at the Monroe Veterinary Associates since 2001. Previous to her veterinary studies, Dr. Jones attended Hartwick College where she graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1997 with a BS Degree in Biology.
Dr. Jones is active in local community education programs. Along with her interest in veterinary continuing education, she also works as a mentor volunteer at a local junior high school.
A member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners and supporter of the Cornell Feline Health Center, Dr. Jones enjoys spending most of her leisure in the company of her 3 cats—Susie, Mouse and Crista. Her non-animal related leisure activities include skiing, traveling, baking, gardening and reading.
Dr. Joanna Bender
Previous to her position at Bayview Animal Hospital, Dr. Joanna Bender worked as an associate veterinarian at the Animal Hospital of Pittsford for 14 years. Having received her undergraduate degree from Montclair State College, in Montclair, NJ, she attended Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine where she graduated as a DVM in 1988.
After completing her veterinary studies at Purdue, Dr. Bender was selected for an internship in medicine and surgery at Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her one-year internship in 1989.
Dr. Bender's hobbies include backpacking, hiking and skiing. When she is home, she enjoys the companionship of her pets. Her dog is named Chester and her 6 cats are called Alice, Cleo, Festus, Samantha, Fred and George.
